Dear DiEMers,

We were filled with joy to be in the streets together with so many people at #unteilbar. 242,000 people were way more than the organizers had hoped and show that the will for change exists and is growing. DiEM25 groups all over Europe did take part in demonstrations and assemblies during this weekend. But what comes on the day after the demo?

DiEM25 gives a constructive answer.

Looking towards the European Parliament Elections we had the council meeting of the European Spring in Frankfurt, where members of all parties involved discussed the programme formulated by all members. To apply for our German list of candidates at diem25.org the last days are ticking down until Wednesday, 31st of October – if you’re quick you can still make it! After this date we as a paneuropean movment will elect the first row of candidates to carry the DiEM25 message into the German elections.

As part of our movement’s work, our Berlin group is building on ties established during #unteilbar and wants to bring a European dimension to different struggles like Seebruecke and EndeGelände.

Moreover the European Balcony Project on November 9th will proclaim the European Republic all over Europe. In Berlin the Berliner Ensemble or the Kunstquarter Bethanien is part of the proclamation. DIEM25 of course supports this but one thing must be crystal clear: To realize this utopia, we need real democracy in Europe.

To achieve this many more small steps will have to be made and we invite you to take them with us at the following events! Find them below or in more detail in our calendar.
